Women's Healthy Living Club

I first became interested in holistic lifestyle in 2011. After being enlightened to my own negativity, debilitating anxiety, self-sabotage, and poor confidence, I decided to begin taking real actions toward becoming a more positive & loving person by changing my habits.

I am a wife, lifelong athlete, women's health expert, and a mother. My favorite activities include but aren’t limited to barbell lifting, yoga, track, mountain hiking, dance, climbing, hula-hooping, kettle bell, making music, arts/crafts, and Brazilian jiu jitsu.

In a past life I worked professionally by day as a Licensed Occupation Therapy Assistant. Occupational therapy (OT) is the only profession that helps people across the lifespan to do the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of daily activities (occupations). OT practitioners enable people of all ages to live life to its fullest by helping them promote health, and prevent—or live better with—injury, illness, or disability.” OT emphasizes a client-centered and holistic approach to making life changes that maximize people’s quality of life.

While studying OT, my understanding of holistic lifestyle began to really broaden. The medical practice of OT exposed me to a variety of topics related to coaching holistic lifestyle including psychology, skill building, critical thinking, anatomy & physiology, stress management, overcoming limitation, movement analysis, creative lifestyle design, exercise programing, and setting realistic, achievable goals.

Now it's my job to integrate the practices of holistic lifestyle on the daily into my own life first; and yours! I've seen the results of people playing small, ignoring their health, making chronic poor lifestyle choices. It's a terrible quality of life. My dream is to encourage people to take responsibility for their health early & prevent this!

I value connecting with my community, taking a simple and relaxed approach to healthy lifestyle, moving bodies, cooking, and playing outside with my family of 3. Not only qualified through my degree in OT, but also through ISSA Certification in Personal Training & Nutrition, Yoga Teacher Certification and completion of the C.H.E.K Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level 1 program. A holistic lifestyle coach that truly practices what I preaches!
